Have you heard of this new thing called artificial intelligence?! I’m kidding, it’s not new at all, and of course you’ve heard of it (unless you’ve been living under a rock). AI has been around since the 1950’s. And has been seen in cinema throughout the decades, in movies such as – iRobot (a personal favorite), Her, Transcendence… the list goes on.
So, if AI has been around since the 1950’s, why is it making waves in 2024?! π€
Because now, YOU can leverage AI in your marketing and business efforts! In the past two years, AI softwares have been popping up everywhere. Snapchat, Canva, Youtube, Photoshop, truly hundreds of AI platforms and generators. ChatGPT and Google Gemini (formally known as Bard) have to be two of my favorite generators to use in my marketing practice. AI is the new co-worker you didn’t even know you had.
Yes – it can be daunting to use at first (especially if you’ve watched any robot movie, literally ever). But truthfully AI can be minimum effort with maximum results. Let’s walk through how you can leverage AI in your digital marketing strategy:
- Breaking Down Data
Analytics play a large role in planning out business strategy, but often times can be hard to digest. Use AI tools to sift through all your insights and data to spit out one clear summary of the findings. - Creating Captivating Captions
(say that 5x fast)… It may sound kind of silly, but one of the biggest things people struggle with the most when posting on social media is, curating the right captions. Your caption can either make or break a post. And when you’re trying to fit a lot of information in just a few characters, it can become a jumbled mess. Use AI to help write a caption worth posting. BUT it is important to note that most text isn’t ready for immediate publishing. You’ll have to proof read once or twice, to make sure that you’re posting accurate information! - Admin Work
One of the most used AI tools in the game, is a meeting transcribers. There are multiple softwares you can use that will take notes during your video meetings and give you a summary at the end of the call. This way you can be engaged in the meeting without worrying about if you’re missing an important point that you’ll need to reference later. - Chatbots
If you have any kind of e-commerce site, you may want to look into getting a chatbot. A chatbot can help funnel any leads you may have, and also answer FAQs on your website. This way your customer isn’t waiting for a reply from a member of your team.
Honestly, the possibilities are limitless for AI and marketing. But start with the basics to get comfortable with the software. Look at the steps above as training wheels. And before you know it, you’ll be on your BMX bike having AI write your next business strategy for the next six months (with proof reading of course).
AI doesn’t need to take the authenticity out of your content… it can just be used as your brainstorming partner. And if you’re still confused about anything we’ve covered today, reach out! Let’s chat! I’ve done all the homework on AI so you don’t have too π
